I’ve always been a massive fan of a range of sports and I only wish it was possible to provide some evidence of how proficient I was at correctly answering the majority of questions fielded on BBC’s A Question of Sport when I was a child to prove this.
Football is my predominant sport of choice. I’m a Lincoln City supporter and season ticket holder, but have also been a fan of Liverpool since I was 6 years old (the 1986 FA Cup Final is my first footballing memory). I’ve also been lucky enough to watch a few games in different parts of the world, including Boca Juniors in Argentina, a match between Flamengo and Fluminense at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, as well as being at the Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid when Zinedine Zidane scored the one and only hat-trick of his professional career.
Other sports that I particularly follow closely and really enjoy watching include snooker, golf, cycling and horse racing.
